Top of the Pops, 8th January 2026

We're back after the Christmas break and it's the usual fairly silly post-Christmas chart, where anything with sleigh bells on it plummets downwards or disappears and everything else zooms back up.

Generally this means a TOTP that acts as a round-up of the biggest hits from the end of the previous year - and we do have Olivia Dean, Dave, Sam Fender, Taylor Swift and our new number 1 hit from friend of the show RAYE. But there are some surprises as well - a resurgence for a Djo song from a couple of years ago, a top 30 re-entry for Tiffany, and a brand new track from good old Sabrina Carpenter.
