Top of the Pops, 28th November 2024

A few Christmas favourites are starting to encroach into the chart, but Top of the Pops is holding its festive horses for now. Instead the show is able to feature a bonanza of new entries, from Jin, Linkin Park, Tate McRae, Sabrina Carpenter and most impressively Sam Fender's triumphant re-emergence at number 4.

Elsewhere there are strong showings for tracks from the recent albums by Tyler the Creator and Linkin Park, an oddball 80s reswizzling by PAWSA, and Gracie Abrams continuing her dream autumn at number 1.

Top of the Pops, 7th November 2024

Incredible scenes this week as the number 1 single is... not Sabrina Carpenter! Instead it's Gigi Perez, capping off one of the more impressive chart climbs of the year with (at least) a week at the very top. Sabrina is not to be defeated completely though, as newer hit Bed Chem is looming ominously in the lower reaches of the top ten.

Other big news includes a big new entry from Lady Gaga, and the release of Tyler the Creator's album, sampled here with two choice tracks. Addison Rae doubles up as well, adding new hit Aquamarine to the still-climbing Diet Pepsi.

Debuts: None

It's a big week for Nines, who appears with two new tracks, guest stars in tow - and his hit Tony Soprano from last week is riding high as well. More fresh sounds come from Tyler the Creator, while at the other end of the scale are Glass Animals whose phenomenon of a track has now spent well over two years on the chart.

Friend of the show Zara Larsson is welcomed back, we remember Carlos Santana for some reason, and Calvin and Ellie make it four at the top.

Top of the Pops, 8th July 2021

King Ed Sheeran is back, and his chart position could probably have been predicted: Olivia Rodrigo's seemingly immovable object finally meets the true irresistible force. Less predictable this year has been the runaway success of Maneskin, who are back with their third hit this week and also guest with friends of the show Little Mix for a rockin' heartbreak anthem.

Tones & I has been in the chart's lower reaches for a while, so it's good to be able to feature her current single. There's also a debut for Jonasu and a classy trio of new entries from Aitch, Tyler the Creator and Doja Cat.

Debuts: Jonasu

Tones & I - Fly Away

Up 9 to number 33

Doja Cat ft the Weeknd - You Right

In at number 9

Maneskin - Beggin'

Up 3 to number 7

Aitch - Learning Curve

Jonasu - Black Magic

High Climber - Up 37 to number 30

Tyler the Creator ft YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ty Dolla $ign - Wusyaname

In at number 25

Little Mix with Maneskin - Heartbreak Anthem

Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits

Straight in at number 1
