After teasing us for a couple of months,
Justin Bieber conquers a chart summit that many thought might never be reached: numbers 1, 2 and 3 in the chart at the same time. He duly appears with a combined performance of all three (bending the TOTP appearance rules a little as it is a historic occasion). Elsewhere, as often, the January chart is a bit of a shuffle-about.
Years & Years get their chance to shine, as do various other dance-minded people.
A bit more star power:
Brandy is in the building to supply live vocals for
99 Souls' track, so she gamely helps out
Sigala with their Jackson 5 sample too. It's a bit of a moment. Chart impact comes from the debuting
Snakehips, and a memorial
Motorhead chart entry for the recently departed
Lemmy.
