Also scaling new peaks are Gunna and the rest of the Internet Money guys, and lower down, Dermot Kennedy. Star power comes from Miley Cyrus, freshness from Da Beatfreakz, and class from friend of the show the Weeknd.

Well. With concerts, events and gatherings of all kinds being cancelled, Top of the Pops errs on the side of prudence and does the (almost) unthinkable: drops the studio. Instead we get a mix of archive footage (The Weeknd), concert footage (Eminem) and jolly low-fi Skype-type pop-ins (Dua Lipa, the welcome return of Anne-Marie, Da Beatfreakz in a multi-window Zoom-style scenario).

The week's relatively rich crop of debutants will have to wait for their big studio moments, but it can't be helped.
