Top of the Pops, 19th October 2023

With the exception of a new smash from top-tier megastar Drake, this is one of the more left-field Top of the Pops editions in recent memory, with an assortment of up-and-comers, bubbler-unders and surprise hits. That includes Kenya Grace, who deservedly makes the final hop up to number 1, as well as breakthroughs from Noah Kahan and Suicidal-Idol.

Hip trendsetters Jungle also make a rare appearance, and there's a double-track performance from UK rapper of the moment Nines.

Top of the Pops, 23rd February 2023

The Brits effect is working for Harry Styles this week, as his song-of-the-year from '22 leaps back into the top ten. Maybe more surprising is a new top 20 hit for Linkin Park (a Bennington tribute video airs).

Central Cee, Lovejoy and Strandz all crash the chart as well, while minor rises bring a repeat featuring for Libianca and a return to the show for megastar Taylor Swift. Miley remains at number 1, bringing a touch of bluegrass to the performance this week.

Debuts: Lovejoy, Strandz.
