Top of the Pops, 6th February 2020

It's been a longish climb, but the latest fizzer from chart heavyweight Lewis Capaldi has made it all the way to the top. He's run fairly close by friends of the show Dua Lipa and The Weeknd.

We've also got a couple of special performances: a double header from the ever more impressive Billie Eilish, and a new album sampler from man of the moment J Hus. Maroon 5 and Harry Styles bring the pop disco.

So far this year it's mostly been the Ed Sheeran show, but while this week's TOTP contains a certain amount of Ed, the week really belongs to Stormzy. His entire album has invaded the chart so he treats us to three tracks here, and also pops up at the end of the show for his feature on the Sheeran remix.

It's a little surprising that a new Calvin Harris track is the week's second or third biggest story, but he's here, undaunted, with all his collaborators (including a low-key TOTP debut for the feted Frank Ocean).
