Top of the Pops, 30th August 2018

New entries here from some of the biggest names around: Jess Glynne, Sam Smith, Calvin Harris and from the more leftfield side, the 1975 as well. (Last week's star Ariana Grande actually has more big entries this week too, but sadly scheduling doesn't permit her to appear.)

Top of the Pops, 16th August 2018

A strange week. Partly because of a chart attack by Travis Scott (who performs his biggest two tracks tonight) there are very few climbers in the top 40, so we delve down into the lower reaches and dig up some sparklers. These include several tunes that have been patiently awaiting their breakthroughs for a while, from the likes of CamelPhat, Anne-Marie and Steel Banglez.

Drake holds steady at the top, and Juice Wrld continues to mope his way towards the top ten.

Debuts: Hardy Caprio, One Acen

David Guetta ft. Anne-Marie - Don't Leave Me Alone

Bazzi ft. Camila Cabello - Beautiful

Top of the Pops, 9th August 2018

We've got a few unique performances this week, including a solo version of Girls Like You from Cardi B, a solo version of taste with extended rapping from Offset, and a lovely stripped back rendition of Only You from friends of the show Little Mix.

More maximalist is the appearance from DJ Khaled and co, basically rehashing I'm The One from last year. And there are tentative chart inroads made by Halsey and Khalid (Benny Blanco being a bit busy) and bombastic hooters Panic At The Disco, making their TOTP debut ten years into their career.

Newer sounds come from the 1975, and to a lesser extent Drake, who seems to be just settling into the number 1 spot.
