Further down we have Switch Disco with their own Robert Miles homage, well deserved returns from Ayra Starr, Coi LeRay and (at yet another new peak) Lizzy McAlpine, plus the first bit of drill for a while from Digga D. And lovely George Ezra pops in to celebrate the vernal equinox.

There are some huge leaps on the chart this week, not least from Pinkpantheress who enlists Ice Spice to give her song the top ten placing it deserves. There are also impressive jumps from dependable names George Ezra and Pink (her first appearance in a while), while Coi LeRay and a rebounding Sam Smith make smaller inroads.

We have to go all the way down to number 57 to find a new entry, though - welcome back, Rita Ora. Miley is looking very comfortable at number 1, and she brings along Olly Murs this week for a fun exclusive performance.

This is the point where the charts really go Christmas crazy, so well done to GAYLE for almost making the very top with her decidedly un-Christmassy debut single. What a chart story that would have been, but number 2 is still a big deal and very well deserved. Congratulations also to Imagine Dragons and indeed Ed Sheeran for managing small chart climbs against the rising tide of sherry and trifle.

In festive news, we welcome new-for-this-year tracks from George Ezra and Olivia Dean, and invite self-appointed Mr Christmas Michael Buble to delight us with a medley of three of his American-style faves. It's Brenda Lee's turn in the From The Vault slot, and Adele hangs on to the top spot for now at least.
