Lots of new entries on the show this week, from Dave, chart behemoth Lewis Capaldi, hot young thing Skye Newman and perhaps most seismically Lily Allen, who performs a two-track sampler from her media-ensorcelling new album.

The K-Pop Demon Hunters manage an impressive little leap up to number 1, displacing Taylor Swift who nevertheless appears with a secondary overlapping hit. And from way down the chart, Le Sserafim take advantage of a lack of other chartbreakers to snatch their debut on the show.

Little Mix remain triumphant at number 1 this week, which gives them the chance to drop in a bit of their new song You Gotta Not as well as the all-conquering Shout Out To My Ex. The biggest new tracks are by X-Factor winner Lousia Johnson, who seems to be getting into gear now, and faceless dance magician Jonas Blue.

Three big names give oomph to the line-up: in roughly ascending order there's another slick turn by Bruno Mars, a double-header of Drake's latest material, and a nice Halloween From The Vault slot for Michael Jackson. We've also got Maroon 5 and Galantis.

Molly's Children of the World gets a pre-Eurovision TOTP showing as it storms into the chart at number 48, while five other female acts are also climbing the hit parade. Perhaps going some way to cancelling out the Chris Brown appearance, which in fairness has been a long time coming as his hit, now finally invading the top 10, has been around the top 20 for weeks. The new old MJ song is played over a montage of previous TOTP highlights, and the succession of in-at-the-top bangers continues with Calvin and a troupe of mixed-gender backing dancers.
