Top of the Pops, 11th September 2014

We have two Robin Shulz remixes this week, as it happens - Lilly Wood stays at number 1, while Mr Probz's laidback sounds are back in the top 20. Duke Dumont just misses out on a hat trick of number 1s, crashing in at number 2, and 5 Seconds of Summer finally get on with Amnesia, which has been floating around the lower reaches for a couple of months. Lastly some sad news: the GRL song has entered the chart in tribute following Simone Battle's death; we show a video montage for her.

Just when you least expect it, Will.i.am body-pops in through an upstairs window and reclaims the top spot, this time with Cody Wise in tow. We've got a lot of dance music again this week, seasoned with more guitar-like offerings from Milky Chance and the Vamps. Demi Lovato shows up to add some glam with her guest spot on Somebody To You. Calvin is relieved that Summer is still a hit now that the weather makes it relevant.

There are a ton of new entries this week, including Duke Dumont returning to the top spot and Little Mix bouncing around the top ten with their charity single. From the Vault comes into its own as enough Aberdonians buy Don't You Want Me to send the Human League into the top 20, so we dig up a classic performance from the stylish Sheffielders. Other delights in the varied bag of newies include London Grammar, Paolo Nutinin and big-in-the-US singer, Trey Songz.
