Top of the Pops, 11th April 2019

There's a hugely impressive new entry from bright young thing Billie Eilish this week, which is only kept off number 1 by the Lewis Capaldi chart juggernaut. Westlife continue their robust 2019 with a new hit, and also join Panic At The Disco on backing vox for an exclusive version of High Hopes.

Further new material comes from Meduza, Lil Nas X, Jay1 and friend of the show George Ezra; Pretty Shining People has been on the chart for some time, but it only makes the TOTP cut this week.

Lewis Capaldi shows no sign of leaving the number 1 spot, and also looking very long-lived are Panic At The Disco, still in the top 40 after well over six months.

Top of the Pops, 13th September 2018

Another new number 1: this time it's the low-key banger from Calvin Harris and Sam Smith nipping ahead of the competition. Though perhaps bigger chart waves are made by Eminem, The Ringer spearheading a trio of new entries from his latest album.

Elsewhere, Freya Ridings finally makes the cut in her eighth week on the chart, and there are reprises of long-running hits from B Young, CamelPhat and friend of the show Anne-Marie (sans Guetta this time). And there's a special appearance from supergroup LSD: Labrinth, Sia and Diplo if you're wondering.

We've got a few unique performances this week, including a solo version of Girls Like You from Cardi B, a solo version of taste with extended rapping from Offset, and a lovely stripped back rendition of Only You from friends of the show Little Mix.

More maximalist is the appearance from DJ Khaled and co, basically rehashing I'm The One from last year. And there are tentative chart inroads made by Halsey and Khalid (Benny Blanco being a bit busy) and bombastic hooters Panic At The Disco, making their TOTP debut ten years into their career.
