King Ed Sheeran shows us how it's done, climbing into the top ten and twenty with three tracks and mashing them into a medley to delight us this week. Also impressing are Rudimental, finally breaking into the top 40 after a three-week climb, and Bring Me The Horizon who have a pretty high entry for a traditional band.

Returning to the studio are Cupid and the incomparable Taylor Swift, and Florence is in the From The Vault slot with one of the tracks that made her name all those years ago. Ellie Goulding gives us the candlelight version of Miracle for its fifth week at the summit.

At last, they've done it. Assisted by the accelerated chart ratio, Rudimental and friends make the one small step up to number 1, appearing with a carnival-type performance and big grins on their faces.

Aside from that it's mostly a rundown of faves from the last few weeks, the exception being the suspiciously smooth Shawn Mendes, in at number 13. Of note are the double-header marking the release of George Ezra's album, and the way Florida Georgia Line seem to be becoming unlikely TOTP regulars.

Double Drake this week: the great man holds steady at number 1, and also shares the distinction of highest new entry with Migos. There's no Greatest Show tune, sadly, but Hollywood is represented by Liam and Rita's theme from the Fifty Shades film. Sigrid is back, as are Not3s and Mabel, who seem to be on every week just now. The big new track of the moment comes from Rudimental, who show up with all three of their guest vocalists as well as, of course, that guy in the hat.

Liam Payne has the latest in the unending procession of 1D solo singles, and we have an exclusive double-header from Yxng Bane and Yungen, who are both capital fellows.

Weirdly, though, Smith's vocals on the Disclosure track are sung this week by Lorde, who combines it with her own new brothers feature Magnets.

The tempo is kept ebullient by Walk The Moon and Little Mix, and super-regular TOTP featuree The Weeknd is also back again, along with Ed Sheeran.
