Top of the Pops, 23rd April 2026

As the chart shuffles around it's time to check in on some long-term residents of the top ten: Alex Warren, Tame Impala and Jennie, and man of the moment Sombr are all going strong, while Sam Fender and Olivia Dean make it very nearly two months at the top.

There are strong new entries from Lady Gaga and Doechii and Katseye, and there's also been a surprising Bieber resurgence. He performs two of his own songs and then hangs around to lend that extraordinary voice to a guest verse on the Sam and Olivia track.

Top of the Pops, 16th April 2026

There's a zesty mix of old and new this week: refamiliarising the audience with Alex Warren's behemoth, Bruno Mars's cheeky groove and friend of the show Zara Larsson's continuing career renaissance; but also showcasing a fresh Harry Styles track, a new one from Anotr and an impressive chart charge from Ella Langley.

There are also two full-bodied solo performances of songs released as duets: Dave without Tems, and Olivia Dean with the inevitable Olivia-only exclusive of Rein Me In, which is still on top.

Back from military service, this week the Top Of The Pops studio salutes international ultrastars BTS. But they can't quite fight off Sam Fender and Olivia Dean, who make it five weeks at the top.

An otherwise fairly quiet top 40 allows for a couple of entries from the mid 40s: Chris Stussy and, perhaps surprisingly, a debut for the eternally tipped girl group Flo. Friend of the show RAYE and Tik Tok feelingsman Alex Warren also grace the stage.

Top of the Pops, 13th November 2025

We're a bit after Halloween now but because of the way the chart weeks work, this week is the peak of pumpkinmania - so we have Rockwell in the From The Vault slot and also Andrew Gold with his spooky skeletons. Perhaps scarier than that, though, is the righteous fury of Lily Allen whose ex-drubbings continue to climb.

There's a new entry for EsDeeKid and yet another decent sized hit from this year's breakout Olivia Dean - she performs in a fun spooky costume, as do the K-Pop Demon Hunters who now hit double digit weeks at the top.

Top of the Pops, 21st August 2025

After a dip last week, the remarkable K-Pop Demon Hunters are back up to number 1 - and they perform yet another of their vast array of hits as well this week. The displaced Chappell Roan is still on the show, though, to reprise the evergreen Pink Pony Club.

We've also go the lastest top 20 entry from King Ed Sheeran, and the welcome returns of BlackPink, Fred Again and Olivia Dean (summer of Dean!). And Alex Warren. Oasis continue the residence in the From The Vault slot with another punchy hit from yesteryear.

Chappell Roan comes out of nowhere to curtail the K-Pop Demon Hunters' stay at number 1 after a single week - but they are back anyway with their secondary top ten hit Soda Pop. Also showing good chart stamina are Rossi, Disco Lines (plus low-key superstar Tinashe) and the duetters of the moment Sam Fender and Olivia Dean.

The summer of Oasis continues in the From The Vault slot, as their fan favourite Slide Away actually makes the top 40 for the first time.

The K-Pop Demon Hunters continue their march up the chart, now with three songs in the top 20 and appearing on Top of the Pops for a fourth week in a row. Some chart shuffling allows repeat appearances for resilient mid-level hits from Pinkpantheress and Max Dean and co, and Sombr and Chappell Roan are also back.

Justin Bieber surprises a few people with a three-place nip up to the top spot, and there's a very strong new entry from Alex Warren, plus another hit of his that has Jelly Roll on it; they favour us with an energetic double performance.

There's a strong international flavour to the line-up this week: Lorde from New Zealand, CMAT from Ireland, the Demon Hunters from Korea, Alex Warren from the US and Rose from Korea (again). Presiding over all, though perhaps not the chart force he once was, is the UK's own King Ed Sheeran.

Scotland does pretty well too, with friend of the show Lewis Capaldi topping the chart and Calvin Harris also turning out. And here's Olivia Dean for the third week in a row: summer of Dean!

Even Sabrina Carpenter can only nick a single week at number 1 - astoundingly, Alex Warren is back up to the top again! There aren't many other climbers in the top 20, but Olivia Dean is back, with an older track alongside her current one, and Myles Smith is still looking perky.

Lower down we have the first Top of the Pops appearance in a while from Twenty One Pilots, and possibly a surprise low charting from the big name team-up of Mark Ronson and RAYE. J-Hope has the highest new entry and friends of the show Coldplay are in the From The Vault slot.

Top of the Pops, 5th June 2025

The good times continue to roll for Alex Warren: not only does he make it to eleven weeks at number 1, he also has the highest new entry with another song! Chappell Roan bobs back up to number 2 again but you feel it will take something more to dislodge Mr Warren.

Lower down the top 40 King Ed Sheeran continues his low-key album campaign, and there are some interesting debuts and another hit for 2025's most likely lad, Myles Smith. Between MGK and Alex Warren's collaborator Jelly Roll, it's a good week for unhealthy looking Americans. Tate McRae is on the show again also, battling her way into the public consciousness by force of will.

Alex Warren makes it eight weeks at number 1: this is a serious run now, and he invites Chrystal to contribute to a moody techno reimagining of the song to celebrate. At the other end of the musical spectrum, maybe, are raucous debutantes KATSEYE, and there are other new entries from Jorja Smith and a surprisingly mid-table King Ed Sheeran.

Alex Warren is still fairly uncontested at the top, but there's a notable chart achievement from Sombr, whose multiple tracks on the chart permit a fourth consecutive showing from the new artiste.

Aside from that we have a couple of climbers, a debut and a big re-entry, and a real curiosity in the shape of Jack Black's very short song from the Minecraft film: he makes the most of his screen time with an outlandish costume and a confetti cannon.
