Top of the Pops, 30th June 2022

Big new entries from Drake and to a lesser extent Beyonce have pushed most of the other songs down the chart, so we have to delve a long way to find performers - but we strike gold with fresh tracks from Doja Cat and a triumphantly returning Chase and Status.

It's pretty dance-heavy this week even apart from Beyonce's bandwagon jump: Sigala reach a new peak with their latest hit and LF System inch their way into the top three. Tom Grennan will please fans of more singer-songwriterly material.

Loads of new entries this week: international megatars BTS, Joji and friends of the show D-Block Europe are all here, plus OneRepublic reach a new chart peak and George Ezra bounces back into the top 30.

The newness continues at the top of the chart, sort of, with fresh new hitmaker Kate Bush finally deposing Harry Styles from the top of the chart. Harry Does sneak on to the show performing one of his secondary hits, though.

It was also about time the Lizzo track got a second airing (and she sticks around to help out Jack Harlow), Tion Wayne and Benzz both reprise their recent hits, and Harry Styles is immovable at number 1.
