Double Drake this week: the great man holds steady at number 1, and also shares the distinction of highest new entry with Migos. There's no Greatest Show tune, sadly, but Hollywood is represented by Liam and Rita's theme from the Fifty Shades film. Sigrid is back, as are Not3s and Mabel, who seem to be on every week just now. There's also the open-to-question pairing of Craig David and Bastille, and for a bit of variety King Ed gets Andrea Bocelli in to do the faux-classical version of Perfect.

You can barely move for Christmas debris in the chart this week. Even what you might call second string Christmas hits like this week's From The Vault spot by Brenda Lee are breaching the top twenty. On top of Miss Lee, we get vaguely contemporary Christmas tunes from Ariana Grande and Leona Lewis, who after a few mulled wines are also persuaded to guest on a charming exclusive version of the Clean Bandit song).

All that December fun still leaves room for a newie from Not3s and the unholy Craig David/Bastille alliance. And we have a surprise on the Ed Sheeran song at number 1. Is it Beyonce? No, even better: friends of the show Little Mix join in for a lovely duet.

(That's it until after New Year now as the real life TOTP takes over. Merry Christmas!)

BIG NEWS this week: Drake is finally knocked off the top spot, all the way down to number five in fact, leaving Bryan Adams's sixteen-week record intact. It's taken three performers to do what no one else could do, and Major Lazer, Justin Bieber and MØ are all in the studio getting their groove on in celebration.

Further freshness comes from a new Fifth Harmony song, as they and Fetty Wap treat us to an exclusive double header that combines the new one with 2016 standout Work From Home. The rest of the show is a grab-bag of the perennially popular tracks of the moment: Calum Scott, DNCE, Christine and the Queens, Kent Jones and the latest drone-along from Bastille.

Two Glastonbury headliners are climbing the chart this week, so both Adele and Coldplay wash the mud off and come down the the studio to ride their momentum. Bastille and Sigala are both back, the latter bringing along the legendary Nile Rogers as well as our old friend of the show John Newman.

At the top of the charts, One Dance is getting into silly territory with its eleventh week at number 1. Once again Drake isn't around, so the lovely Little Mix are here to perform the song instead. They get Nile Rodgers to back them up since he's here, and Jade has a tambourine.

At one end of the scale we have new entries from Ella Eyre, Kove, Nicole Scherzinger and our impressive number one from Rixton. At the other, Bastille celebrate well over a year in the chart as Pompeii makes another micro-climb down in the lower reaches.

Friends of the show Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne are also back, no doubt benefiting from the new chart rules on streaming. And it would barely be TOTP these days without an Ed Sheeran appearance - this time it's Thinking Out Loud.

It's been a Britsy week. Five of our acts here are Brit Award winners or performers, including Bastille and Rudimental reprising their team-up from the ceremony itself (and even our presenter, Duffy, is a three-time former winner). Katy Perry even brings most of her set from the Brits show along with her. Non-Brit tracks include newies from Tegan and Sara and A Great Big World, plus a long-running mid-hit from Idina Menzel. There's something of a Children In Need theme this week: big supporter Barlow is at number 3 with his Mumford-a-thon, while Ylvis and Ellie Goulding also performed on the show (though Goulding sings Burn this week, in a special candlelight mix). Mixmaster Avicii brings us a medley of two hits old and new, while JLS get emotional in what might be their last ever TOTP appearance, throwing their shirts to the fans at the end. But the grand finale is lady-of-the-moment Lily Allen, who has the honour of singing two top ten hits, including the number 1, in seamless combination.

A mixture of old and new this week. High climbers OneRepublic make a startling leap after a month on the chart already, and fellow slow-burners Olly Murs and Bastille also come onto the radar. Dizzee Rascal and Robbie Williams - Goin' Crazy

New entry at number 5 - Rowdy, cheeky, loveable, irrepressible. This classic performance is everything you'd expect from a dream TOTP pairing.

Re-entry at number 10 - A small-stage, candlelit, heartfelt performance from Tom. The crowd are on their best behaviour as his dad proudly watches on.

Jason Derülo - The Other Side

Highest New Entry - In at number 2 - This is one of those RnB performances where the singer just dances about saying 'hey' while the song plays in the background. He touches some audience members' hands near the end, which makes them go 'wooooooo'.

London Grammar - Wasting My Young Years

New entry at number 31 - I'm sorry to say I don't know anything about these people. Maybe you don't either. But that will all change after this barnstorming TOTP performance.

New entry at number 11 - Amps on stage alert.

From the Vault: Evanescence - My Immortal

Re-entry at number 74 - We dig out a tape of Amy and co from 2003, who are back in the lower reaches of the chart thanks to an interpretation by the winner of The Voice.
