Harry Styles has made it to ten weeks at number 1. Chart compilation rules mean that a dip next week is quite likely, so he pulls out all the stops here and invites most of this week's performers and some other celebrity friends to join him on stage.

In other news we have a rare solo hit from Burna Boy, the return of friend of the show Doja Cat alongside megastar scruff Post Malone, and a little bit of Shotgun from George Ezra because why not.

Stormzy is the highest new entry this week, so he brings an intense performance to the TOTP stage, in a double-header with previous generation MC Tinie Tempah. There are also new hits from Snakehips and Train, and an unusual brass-led version of Human from Rag 'N' Bone Man.

Ed Sheeran is still at the top (and almost-top) of the chart, and this week he combines both hits into an exclusive medley for us despite their clashing styles.

No change at the top of the chart, so King Ed keeps court once more with Shape Of You. Not a lot of love for Castle On The Hill just now, but who really cares.

The rest of the line-up is pretty vibrant, with girlbands M.O. and Little Mix, dance banger-makers Starley and Jax Jones, and a nice change of pace from James Arthur's Sheeran homage as well. Tinie Tempah and Tinashe make a splash with a fun, sexy performance and the show is arguably stolen by a rollercoaster of a medley from Dua Lipa.

Debuts: None.

Drake's still at number one, I'm afraid, but once again Top of the Pops finds a way to keep the One Dance performances fresh. This week we have Drizzy's featured performer Wizkid mashing it up with Tinie Tempah, whose Mamacita he also guests on in the chart this week.

Freshness also emanates from MK and Becky Hill, and to a lesser extent Charlie Puth, while tried and trusted tracks from Adele, Major Lazer and friend of the show Ariana Grande join them on the TOTP stage. The latest Chainsmokers track is also doing surprisingly well, isn't it?

Debuts: None.

Elsewhere Dua Lipa finally gets a breakthrough with Hotter Than Hell, and Gnash and Cheat Codes continue their respective slow rises. There are brand new hits from the Stone Roses and the Neales, and we haven't seen Tom Odell for a while.

First let's address the elephant in the room: Justin Timberlake has the second biggest song of the summer so far but he's only been on the show once. This is because he's been stuck at number 2 behind One Dance, and if you don't climb the chart, you don't get on the show. He needs to either overhaul Drake or start yo-yoing a bit if he wants to be featured.

So who do we have? After six agonising weeks away, friend of the show Zara Larsson is back and she is all over this edition. We open the show with a medley of Lush Life and her new David Guetta track This One's For You, before she joins Tinie Tempah on their long runner Girls Like. Then she's back near the end to fill in Drake's vocals on a unique but strangely lovely version of the new DJ Khaled hit For Free.

Drake manages a double absence, since he's once again not here to perform One Dance either - instead featured vocalist Kyla teams up with Tinie Tempah for a unique and exclusive British take. The line-up is rounded out with chart movers from Kungs, OneRepublic and Calum Scott, and a show-stopper from the universally loved Adele.

Debuts: DJ Khaled.

There's a double bill of big American stars in Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande, plus DNCE (with Joe Jonas) thrown in for good measure. Dance chaps Major Lazer and Galantis round out the show, with Mike Posner the cherry on the trifle.

The Craig David comeback continues! The slick one has the highest new entry this week, though Sigala's storming of the chart is perhaps more impressive, vaulting from nowhere into the top ten in their fourth week on the countdown.

ZAYN's track floating back up a couple of places allows him to go full ex-boyband member, performing a bizarre version of Pillowtalk backed by a full jazz band and segueing into an almost unrecognisable version of 1D's History. Mike Posner remains high as a kite at number one and friend of the show Zara Larsson is back once again. Oh, and the elusive Sia makes a rare and arty appearance.

Zara Larsson is all over TOTP at the moment: one week after a double-bill performance, she returns to guest on the Tinie Tempah track - and also has the great honour of joining Coldplay for Beyonce's bit on Hymn For The Weekend.

It's not all about her though. Perky young rakes The 1975 are back in, as is a strong American contingent and Zara's fellow Scandinavians Lukas Graham at number one.

We have two Robin Shulz remixes this week, as it happens - Lilly Wood stays at number 1, while Mr Probz's laidback sounds are back in the top 20. Duke Dumont just misses out on a hat trick of number 1s, crashing in at number 2, and 5 Seconds of Summer finally get on with Amnesia, which has been floating around the lower reaches for a couple of months. Lastly some sad news: the GRL song has entered the chart in tribute following Simone Battle's death; we show a video montage for her.

We see big comebacks from three female solo artists this week: Kylie Minogue, Pixie Lott and the singer-songwriter-type Christina Perri. John Legend continues his slow, sentimental chart climb, and there is a bouncing return from One Direction as their AC/DC-style rocker pops back into the top 40. The novelty genre is also strongly represented by the Chainsmokers and Flo Rida, while friend of the show Tinie Tempah (and some trolls hunched over Korgs) crash in at the top.

This week's big name is Katy Perry, here with Juicy J as Dark Horse gets a second wind and canters up to the top ten after seven weeks on the chart - a dark horse indeed. At the other end of the star spectrum is "DJ Stay The Night" with a pre-emptive cover of a not-yet-released song by Zedd; the collective of shadowy studio goons make the most of their week on the telly. Friends of the show OneRepublic give us a two-hit medley, and Clean Bandit are still at the top of the pile, grinning like the Cheshire cats they are.

The middle of the chart is quiet this week, so we have some big new entries from the top and some (for now) lower-charting new songs from the outer reaches. Vance Joy returns to reprise 'Riptide' by candlelight and there are precocious turns from Neon Jungle and the Vamps (with a two-song medley), but the evening belongs to a triumphant Clean Bandit, looking indeed like there's no place they'd rather be.

Lots of new entries this week, including chart debs Mad and Foxes, while Rizzle Kicks finally get the chance to do Skip To The Good Bit for us after a few weeks in the top 40. The late Lou Reed's From the Vault slot isn't an actual TOTP clip, but a tribute montage. Eminem and Rihanna can't make it and have no video, so it's a montage for them too, drawing on Love The Way You Lie, Russian Roulette, Cleaning Out My Closet and other atmospheric clips. Amazingly, we're still waiting for Rihanna's first studio appearance on the revamped TOTP.

Rudimental - Right Here

Up 10 to number 14 - The Rude boys have already been on a couple of times, but this is their first appearance without a credited vocalist to assist them. They smash it.

Disclosure - F for You

Up 8 to number 20 - Memories of the Artful Dodger's classic 90s performances come flooding back as the Disclosure brothers both play instruments whose combined output can only make up about 1% of the song. Where is the rest of the music coming from?

Birdy - Skinny Love

Up 1 to number 44 - Birdie pops in unexpectedly as Skinny Love climbs up the chart for the 50th time. The crowd and the viewers fall in love with it all over again.

Pink - True Love / Just Give Me A Reason

Up 1 to number 17 - Pink's Nate Ruess vehicle Just Give Me A Reason is convecting upwards in the lower depths of the chart this week, so Pink comes on to sing her bits from that duet and her current hit as well. With a snap costume change in between.

Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop

Straight in at number 1 - Miley's number 1! But she's not in the country sadly, so we have to content ourselves with the video, edited to remove a decent portion of the rump-shaking. She can't stop us stopping her.
